Sam is 1 ? !

When Mac turned one, I was excited for him and us. Sam turning one was more of a sad occasion for me. It meant that I no longer had a newborn Sam, but a growing toddler Sam. I already miss that little baby. I don't miss the hardships of a newborn but I do miss the baby himself, and it also saddens me to think how fast his first year went. I am going to try and take on a new attitude though and embrace this spunky little 1 year old life. Of course you know I do love him to pieces...

Here are his 1 year stats:
21 lbs (give him some credit, he was getting over a stomach bug)
29.5 inches. He was 30th % for weight and 40th % for height which was quite different from his big brother! Here is the link to Mac's 1 year post.

What he's doing:
Teeth: 8 and 1 more coming I think
Eating: Baby food, cereal, peas, carrots, crackers, bananas, apple, noodles, cheese, egg, and he loves bread!
Crawling: Yes
Walking: No
Sitting up: Yes
Scooting: Yes
Pulling up: Yes
Babbling: Yes. He doesn't say them often, but he can say bye bye, Mama, Dada, uh oh.
Cuddler or squirmer: SQUIRMER!

If you'd like to look at pictures and videos throughout his 1st year of life, check out this video... I've only watched it about 15 times :).

Melting

One of my favorite things I've ever heard...

While snuggled up in a blanket in the backyard on a chilly night, Mac says

"Mommy, I'm so happy."

4 months

16 lbs, 25.5 inches long

Rolling over to side (once to stomach)
Attempting to eat cereal from a spoon
Smiling
Laughing
Bubbling his lips
Trying to sit up

Mac at 4 months was 15lbs and 25.5 inches long so just a pound lighter than Sam and the same height.
